6 Poses Every Couple Should Know for Perfect Photos
You know you want to look your best for the camera, here are 5 couples poses every bride and groom should know to feel confident and sexy in front of the camera. These also work great for engagement photoshoots, or even regular couples photoshoots!
1. THE V
This Classic and simple pose can become a diverse shot with a good photographer. It’s easy for you, gaze at each other or look at the camera. This is a staple photo that everyone will love. Holding onto each other shows your connection.
2. OPENED UP, HAND HOLDING
If Anchorman taught us anything it is that we need to know what to do with our hands, and your answer is anything! If you are not using your hand to connect with your partner, you can put them in a pocket, on a hip, or holding an accessory. Let your photographer guide you, to what flatters you. If you don’t know, think about where you put your hands when you are standing on an elevator.
To flatter your body, rock your weight onto one hip that is away from the camera, and stand up straight. Tits up friends!
3. THE SLOPPY WALK
A stroll to or from the camera can be the most natural looking photo of you connecting because you will be moving and looking the most yourself in your posture. To make sure this turns out well, walk as if you are on a balance beam. Keep your hand on to your hip, pocket or holding your skirt, and look either ahead or at each other. If you are feeling playful, give your partner a hip bump for a flirtatious sloppy walk pose.
4. FACING EACH OTHER
While facing each other, have one partner pull the other in close at their waist scooping them up. Be mindful of your hair blocking your face. Allow your foreheads or noses to touch, and stay close long enough for your photographer to move around. This is one of the most cute couples poses!
5. STACKED
It’s like prom pose, but without the cheese, or with the cheese. Cause yum…. Cheese. Hold onto each other and focus on your person for a snuggled up connection. Your heights will determine where you put your arms and if you feel comfortable, usually you look natural.
6. THE KISS
The trick is not to pucker your lips for a photo. Instead, with a slight smile, touch lips. Use a hand to reach around your partners neck or to scoop them in to hold them close. Hold your kiss so your photographer can move around!
I hope this gave you some inspiration for couples picture ideas. Tell your photographer if you prefer a certain side or any insecurities you may have. I am body positive, so as a photographer I do not edit bodies into different shapes or sizes. I do, however, have mercy on zits because I am not a monster! I want to celebrate and capture who you are, so Tits up and let’s take some beautiful photos!
